MOLECULAR BULLETS IN A PLANETARY NEBULA

PHOTO CAPTION: Images of the planetary nebula BD+30.3639 at millimeter wavelengths. Left: Image of the hot gas of the nebula. Right: Image of the bullets in emission from the CO molecule. The star is not seen but lies exactly at the center of each image. The image scale is 11 arcseconds on each side.

These images were made from observations with the IRAM interferometer, at Plateau de Bure, France, and were presented to the American Astronomical Society Meeting in Atlanta, GA, on January 15, 2000.
