Ingredients: brandy, triple sec or Cointreau, lemon, sugar.
Rub the rim of an old fashioned glass or cocktail glass with lemon, and dip repeatedly into granulated sugar until it has a good "frosted" rim. Shake half a jigger each of brandy and triple sec with the juice of a half or quarter lemon. Strain into glass and add ice. Garnish with a slice of orange. If you are thirsty, double it.
Replace the brandy with applejack or Calvados and garnish with apple slices to make an Apple Car, which tastes astonishingly like fresh apples!
