Physics III - Fall 2006
Third semester of 3-semester calculus-based introduction to physics
Intended for physics majors and other interested science and
mathematics majors. Topics include wave motion; sound; the reflection,
refraction, interference, and diffraction of light; polarization;
thermodynamics; kinetic theory and statistical physics.

- October 4: Accessing the
course's password-protected pages: (1) For your User
Name, use your netID, (2) For your password,
use your NYU ID number "N--------" including the upper
case "N".
- October 3: The solutions
for past written homework assignments can be accessed from the
Written Homework web page.
- September 13: Just a reminder that Prof. Pine's class
notes are available online (see link below). The notes for
today's class include some notes on intensity that were not
covered during class. Be sure to review this material as we
will not actually cover it in class unless someone has
questions.
